Search for Inspiration

Have you ever gone to a grocery store and seen the cards that are called Quotables? They have been "spreading the word since 1993."

A little while back I was in Wegman's shopping and I saw a rack of bright colored cards full of bold text on the front. Since I am studying graphic design they stopped me dead in my tracks. These cards are awesome! Full of thought provoking and inspiring quotes to live by. I wanted to share a few that I love and post the site: http://www.quotablecards.com/main.html

I found myself sitting at this rack of cards for a half hour reading each one. I wanted to buy them all and hang them in frames on my wall!

I am all about happy quotes and life lessons. Sometimes reading them just makes you feel better, or gives you a swift kick in the butt to get up and do something with your life :)

Heres some fave's of mine

Puppy Love

Zoey

Sadie Mae

Maddie Boo

Haley

I have puppy love for puppies.

Anytime I see a dog or puppy I literally melt to the ground. If I had it my way I'd have my house full my dogs, and I would adopt all the dogs left in shelters. But, I don't think that will happen any time soon.

My fiance and I have a dog together, her name is Haley. Haley is a pitbull. (cue the screams) Pitbulls are misunderstood and wrongly hated on. If you actually do research, one would find that the pitbull isn't even on the top 3 list of dogs likely to bite.

I also have a pug, Maddie Boo, and a shepherd husky mix we saved from a shelter, Sadie Mae. They live with my mom because our apartment is little and Maddie while being 4 years old, just realized you have to go outside to go to the bathroom.

My dad has a golden retriver he bought me when I was younger, and she lives with him at his house. Her name is Zoe and she is sick, full of tumors :( her health has gotten better from what I understand however. (knock on wood!!!)

Adam (my fiance) and I both share this puppy love. We actually took a road trip from NY to Missouri to check out Tom Rose school for dog trainers. The school teaches humans how to train dogs in obedience, protection K9 police, bomb and drug detection, search and rescue, etc... We contemplated moving temporarily while Adam completed the school. Since then we found another school, Tar Heel Canine Training in North Carolina, we may go check out this summer!

INK'd

Me getting my first tattoo (above)
Anchor tattoos I like (below)

So.... In November 2009 my brother opened up a tattoo shop - Sacred Skin Tattoos.
Both he and my fiance are covered head to toe in tattoos.
They love everything about them... the art...the look...

I have always wanted tattoos, but I am a huge whimp, let me rephrase that....
....like a giant whimp, probably the biggest whimp you'll never know.

When I was litle I ran away from nurses when I had to get shots.

But, the end of November, early December I decided I was going to go through with it
and get two little stars in the ditch of my arm.

Let's just say I was Eric's only client who has ever cried while he tattooed. :) IT HURT!

Now, I am thinking about reliving the painful experience to get a girly little anchor in honor of my grandfather, who I wrote about in my first blog... Can I handle it again? Probably not.

I'm a baby. So I'm going to post up a few anchor pics I like
...stare at them alittle more...
and maybe just maybe I'll go through with it.
